I have high expectations for others because I have high expectations for myself. And I only require what I give. Wouldn’t it be foolish of me to give 100, but only expect 80 in return? I won’t do it. What I would appreciate, though, is if people would be upfront about the fact that they can’t meet my expectations. I mightbe disappointed (or I might not care at all), but at least I won’t have to put anymore time and energy into someone who isn’t willing to do the same for me….
